00_ARGUMENT_INDEX Architecture

Purpose

This folder is the arsenal for live debate. Every argument here is:

  • Pre-tested against counterarguments
  • Scored for effectiveness
  • Ready to deploy in seconds

Dual System

OFFENSIVE: Argument Database

Categorized by objection mode - how the skeptic is attacking:

  • TEXT_EVIDENCE/ - Manuscript, archaeology, historical claims
  • CONCEPTUAL/ - Logic, philosophy, coherence claims
  • SEMANTIC/ - Translation, meaning, interpretation claims
  • MORAL/ - Ethics, problem of evil, suffering claims
  • PHYSICS/ - Miracles, natural law, causation claims

DEFENSIVE: The Gate Protocol

When YOU are being attacked, engage defensive mode:

  • See _GATE_PROTOCOL.md for epistemic standards
  • Every attack must meet the same burden it demands

File Structure

Each argument file follows _ARGUMENT_TEMPLATE.md:

glitch_id: GLITCH-001
surface_claim: "What they say"
objection_mode: TEXT_EVIDENCE | CONCEPTUAL | SEMANTIC | MORAL | PHYSICS
one_liner: "TikTok-ready 10-second response"
full_response: "30-second read for depth"
tipping_point: "Follow-up that flips them"
sources: [verifiable citations]
counterarguments: [known rebuttals]
counter_counters: [your responses to rebuttals]

Workflow

  1. Hear objection
  2. Identify mode (how are they attacking?)
  3. Pull pre-built response
  4. Deliver one-liner first
  5. If they push back, go to full response
  6. If they retreat to different mode, note the domain-hop (see GATE)

Scoring Metrics

Each argument rated 0-20 on:

  • Empirical Strength - How verifiable?
  • Debate Win Rate - How often does it land?
  • Counterargument Exposure - How strong are rebuttals?
  • Accessibility - Can you explain in 60 seconds?
  • Emotional Impact - Does it move people?
